Living the Grateful Life by Rick Jobe
is the story of a small homeless outreach church, in Huntsville Alabama, which grew to feeding, physically and spiritually, over 150 souls, every Sunday. Our program, called "No Stomach Left Behind" provided 3 meals each Sunday and a Spirit filled worship service with the kickenest contemporary gospel band you could want. The band consisted of professional musicians, teenagers and homeless former pro musicians.
This is a collection of the stories that developed from my midlife acquisition of a theological education and ordination. The stories center around the genuine characters to be found on the street and their sometimes humorous behaviors. Some stories are not without poignant outcomes that even made me cry.
